Belarusian BelAZ to expand presence in Indonesia
MINSK, 10 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ intends to expand cooperation with key partners on the Indonesian market, BelAZ representatives told BelTA.
The company became a platinum sponsor of the Coaltrans Asia conference, which took place in the Indonesian city of Nusa Dua in late June. BelAZ was represented by Belazia Pte Ltd, the official dealership of the Belarusian company in Southeast Asia. Agreements were reached on expanded-participation meetings for the sake of discussing cooperation options. In particular, advantages of switching from 90-tonne haul trucks to 130-tonne ones were discussed with Indonesia's leading companies.
BelAZ penetrated the market of Indonesia in 2012. Initially the company was selling haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 45 tonnes and 55 tonnes. In 2016 the company delivered 110-tonne haul trucks and 130-tonne trucks were shipped in spring 2018.
Based in Zhodino, Minsk Oblast, the public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the world's leading manufacturer of haul trucks with a large carrying capacity and an extremely large carrying capacity. The company also makes other kinds of heavy transport vehicles for the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
