Belarusian heavy truck maker BelAZ reports good sales in 2019


MINSK (BelTA) – The average carrying capacity of BelAZ haul trucks sold in 2019 has reached a record high of 123 tonnes, the press service of the Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ told BelTA.
The average carrying capacity of sold dump trucks amounted to 123 tonnes, which is the highest annual figure on record in the entire history of the company, the press service said.
The top sellers were haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 110-130 tonnes (27%), 220-240 tonnes (24%), and 45% (13%). The total share of these trucks amounted to 64%.
The top-selling model was BelAZ 75131, with its share as high as 23% of the total sales.
In 2019 the holding company's fixed-capital investments were close to Br73.9 million. As much as Br45.9 million of the sum was spent on buying equipment. Net profit slightly exceeded Br266 million.
In 2019 BelAZ trucks were sold to 48 countries. The top buyers in terms of export and import shares were Russia, the UK, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and the USA.
BelAZ trucks were most popular with coal industry, metallurgic industry, iron ore industry, diamond- and gold-mining companies.

BelAZ is the world's leading manufacturer of haul trucks and transport equipment for mining industry and civil engineering industry as well as other heavy transport vehicles used in mining industry and civil engineering industry.
