Alexander Lukashenko: Belarus is able to respond to any challenges with dignity

MINSK, 21 January (BelTA) – Relying on its history and traditions Belarus can respond to any challenges with dignity, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said in his speech at the inauguration ceremony on 21 January. A lost is still to be done to achieve the objectives. The country has all the facilities for it such as accumulated experience, clear vision of development priorities, vast creative potential, and people’s inexhaustible energy, Alexander Lukashenko said. “We should all take care about our Motherland. As one wise man once said, it is only the Motherland that implies the things, which are valuable for everybody. Relying on the history, traditions, and the specific traits of our national mentality such as honesty, diligence, valour, fairness, tolerance, fidelity to duty, and patriotism, we will be able to respond to any challenges of time,” said the President. He stressed that the glorious past should be backed by the major achievements of today’s generation. “Then the word ‘Belarus’ will be pronounced worldwide with respect, and our children and grandchildren will live in a prosperous European country and feel proud of these moments in the history of Belarus,” said the President. He thanked Belarusians once again for the choice they have made and wished everybody health, happiness, inexhaustible energy for creative labor for the benefit of the Motherland. “If anybody still doubts the correctness of their decision, forgive me my immodesty, but I would say: do not worry, you have made the right choice, your President is indeed your President, he will never fail you,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
