Alexander Lukashenko: Belarus, Libya are dedicated to building multipolar world

Belarus and Libya have similar views regarding the world order, stressed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko as he met with head of the Great Libyan Revolution Muammar al-Gaddafi on November 3. “I am thankful for your arrival in Belarus in return to our visit. Today we have an opportunity to discuss many avenues of our cooperation. Belarus and Libya don’t have different approaches to major problems of the world order. Just like you we believe that the world should be multipolar, that it is the principle of existence of any system: a system should rely on many points. Then it will be stable,” said the Belarusian head of state. The President also added, “We have already seen what a unipolar world can lead to”. Alexander Lukashenko underscored, Belarus is rejoiced by the victory of Muammar al-Gaddafi in the international arena. “We know how difficult it was to survive, to live through international sanctions which were absolutely illegally forced on your country. And you have managed to advance the country into the number of states, which determine the global politics at present,” said the President of Belarus. He also added, Belarus likes Libya’s independent policy in the United Nations Organisation.
