Alexander Lukashenko hopes to see active development of relations with Great Britain

During a meeting with Timothy Bell, a member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said he hopes to see active development of relations with Great Britain. “We hope you will be a goodwill ambassador of Great Britain, with which we have been actively developing relations, despite some disagreements in the political sphere. Great Britain takes one of the leading positions in terms of investment in Belarus,” the President said. Timothy Bell is President of Chime Communications, an advertising and public relations company. “Today the world has been developing in such a way that it is impossible to imagine this or that country without the profession you practise,” Alexander Lukashenko said. The President thanked Timothy Bell for the visit to Belarus. “It will be a pleasure for you to work in our country, with the people, the power which now exists in Belarus,” the Head of State said. “Before you become a strong advocate of our country, you will make sure that Belarus is a European state and that our people has done a lot for Europe in historical terms.” In turn, Mr Timothy Bell said that the internet-resources report many double-faced hypocritical comments about Belarus. “Hard work lies ahead to turn this situation around,” he said. “The main thing is that the information about Belarus should be true and correspond to reality,” Timothy Bell added.
