Association of Russian Diplomats to donate documents from Andrei Gromyko’s archives to Gomel

GOMEL, 24 October (BelTA) – On 26 October, the Association of Russian Diplomats will donate the documents from the archives of the legendary Soviet Union Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko to the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble, BelTA learnt from the administration of the Gomel museum. The Association of Russian Diplomats (Moscow) took the initiative to donate the documentary materials related to the biography and the famous native of the village of Starye Gromyki, Vetka District, to the Gomel Museum, and to the museum of Vetka secondary school No. 2. The ceremony will be attended by representatives of the Association, as well as the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the CIS in Minsk Igor Gromyko, a grandson of Andrei Gromyko. The exposition features the memorial materials donated to the Museum by Andrei Gromyko’s children Anatoly and Emilia, and also furniture, books, magazines, personal belongings of the legendary diplomat and many more.
