Belarus interested in China’s direct investments

MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – Belarus is interested in direct investments from China. The statement was made by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko as he met with Liu Yunshan, member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, in Minsk on 5 September, BelTA has learned.

The head of state underlined that Belarus will enable all the necessary conditions for direct investments by the People’s Republic of China. In his words, in the last few years and even months Belarus has made a number of unprecedented decisions. The decisions concerned joint projects, which are financed and credited by the Chinese side. The number includes the project to create the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park where world class manufacturers assimilating cutting-edge technologies will be concentrated.

Belarus also pays close attention and believes it is important to advance cooperation with China. “We have never tried to hide it and take pride in relations with this great country, which now plays a major role in the international scene. It is impossible to make any decisions without China today,” noted the President.

Alexander Lukashenko underlined that Belarus and China have nearly 20 years of the closest cooperation under their belt.
