Belarus Investment Forum demonstrates interest of foreign partners

MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) – Results of the Belarus Investment Forum in Frankfurt am Main testify to the increased interest of foreign partners in investing in Belarus. Andrei Savinykh, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, voiced his opinion on 18 November. He stressed that the forum has given a boost to the serious promotion of Belarus’ cooperation with investors from many countries of the world. In particular, Andrei Savinykh said that around 800 people from 36 countries took part in the forum. The fact testifies to the serious attention of foreign investors to Belarus. Participants of the forum represented major industrial and investment groups as well as banks. It means that Belarus has created a favorable investment climate and the country is becoming attractive to investors. Andrei Savinykh stressed that 22 contracts and protocols of intent worth $2.7 billion were signed in Frankfurt am Main. The documents are related to industry, civil engineering, ferrous metallurgy, food industry, woodworking and renewable resources.
