Belarus President: exhaustion among major reasons for Vladimir Naumov resignation

SVETLOGORSK, April 7 (BelTA) – Complete exhaustion was one of the reasons for the resignation of Interior Minister of Belarus Vladimir Naumov, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko told reporters during his working trip to the Gomel oblast on April 7. Vladimir Naumov occupied this position for almost nine years and wore himself out. It does not mean that he worked badly. He just got tired. He asked either for a rest or a transfer to another job, the head of state explained. The President said that the Interior Ministry has been demonstrating good performance indices in the recent years. “In the Soviet times the performance was not as good as it is now. It was the best year in terms of fighting crime,” Alexander Lukashenko said. He added that “in the near future new appointments will be announced.” “The selection of candidatures on my level takes 4-5 months. It is continuous work,” the President said.
