Belaruskali plans to earn $3bn in 2012

SOLIGORSK, 24 August (BelTA) – OAO Belaruskali plans to earn about $3 billion in 2012, Belaruskali Director General Valery Kiriyenko told media on 24 August. “If we talk about the indicators that everyone is worried about, with regard to the export, sales on the home market, we will accomplish the program we have now,” remarked Valery Kiriyenko. He added that the year 2012 has not been favorable due to several reasons in India and Europe. “Therefore, there are problems. But I am convinced that with the volumes we’ve been exporting this year, we will secure normal earnings of about $3 billion or slightly more,” said the Director General. He remarked that a lot will depend on how fast contracts with China and India are signed. “Our greatest victory this year is that we’ve finished what we started in 2011. We have resolved the most painful problem for us – the availability of resources. We have replenished the raw materials and have secured additional capacity during the construction and commissioning of two mines, I mean the Krasnoslobodsky and Berezovsky mines. As early as next year taking into account peculiarities of the operation of the Berezovsky mine, we will reach [the output of] 11 million tonnes,” said Valery Kiriyenko. Thus, Belaruskali reasserts its leadership among global manufacturers of potash fertilizers.
