Chechersk to present six projects at economic forum 2 November

GOMEL, 30 October (BelTA) - The investment capabilities of the region will be showcased at the Economic Forum in Chechersk on 2 November, BelTA learnt from Tatiana Murzayeva, the head of the economy department at the Chechersk District Executive Committee. Businessmen from the frontier regions of Russia and Ukraine, Gomel Oblast will be offered to consider six investment projects to set up new manufacturing facilities, construct road service objects, commercial sites. In particular, investors will be invited to implement projects to build a mini dairy plant at a total cost of $2.5 million in the village of Otor and a oilseed rape processing plant. Term of implementation of the projects is two years. Potential investors are expected to visit eight construction sites of future trading facilities in Chechersk District. Tatiana Murzayeva noted that the local authorities are ready to consider investment proposals from businessmen. “The region is attractive for investors as it borders on the Russian Federation. Apart from cooperation in industrial and agricultural production, there are great prospects in agro-ecotourism. Chechersk District is well-known for its picturesque nature. The region also makes part of the tourist route, Golden Ring of Gomel Oblast” she added. The Chechersk Economic Forum has been organized for the third time to highlight the social and economic potential of the region.
