Days of Venezuelan Culture open in Gomel

GOMEL, 28 September (BelTA) – The Days of Venezuelan Culture open in Gomel on 28 September, BelTA learned from the Ideology Department of Gomel City Hall. The oblast capital will host various cultural events. On 28 September students of the Belarusian State University of Transport will attend the lecture “Getting to know Venezuela”. School of Arts No. 5 will host performances of Gigante Roja (Venezuela), Ali Primera and Yolanda Moreno of the Simon Bolivar Latin American Cultural Centre. On 29 September the Gallery of Heroes exhibition will open in the Gomel park and palace complex. It is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Venezuela’s Independence. The exhibition will feature portraits of famous political figures of Venezuela and participants of the 1810-1825 war. The program also includes a concert of the Gomel Symphony Orchestra conducted by Gerardo Estrada and other Venezuelan artists.
