Deputies to consider more than 110 bills at spring session

During the forthcoming spring session deputies of the House of Representatives of the Belarusian National Assembly intend to consider more than 110 bills including the draft law on the National Assembly, the draft law on information, electronic communication development and information protection. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko was informed about this by Chairman of the Lower House of the Belarusian Parliament Vadim Popov on March 31, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Head of State. The 8th session will open on April 2. During the meeting the sides also discussed the formation of the international legal field. As is known, the presidents of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan have passed a decision to set up the Customs Union. At present, the work with the first documents is finishing. According to Vadim Popov, the Belarusian side is ready to adjust the interstate procedures concerning this issue with the heads of the parliaments of Russia and Kazakhstan. During the forthcoming session deputies are set to consider the agreements with Poland, Lithuania and Latvia in connection with their accession to the Schengen agreement. According to Vadim Popov, the documents have been already prepared and they will be introduced before the House of Representatives soon. Vadim Popov also reported that in 2008 President’s instruction to reduce the terms of consideration of bills up to one year will be executed in full. Alexander Lukashenko and Vadim Popov also discussed the other issues which will be high on the agenda of the forthcoming session.
