Gomel musician wins Grand Prix of international contest in Moscow

MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – Student of the vocal studio Nuance of children’s music school No. 3 of Gomel Lisa Medvedeva has won Grand Prix of the international festival-contest of young musicians “Christmas Star” in Moscow, BelTA learnt from the culture department of the Novobelitsa District administration of Gomel. The nine-year old was best in the category “pop singing” in her age group. The other nominations included categories “folk singing” and “academic singing”. Taking part in the festival were young performers from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia, and Russia. Belarus was represented by young artists from Gomel and Mogilev. They performed in front of Russian pop stars and teachers of music universities. The culture department noted that it is not Lisa’s first victory in international contents.
