Gomel to host two major expos on 18-21 May

GOMEL, 6 May (BelTA) – The region’s two largest international expos will take place in Gomel on 18-21 May 2011, the press service of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee told BelTA. The 12th international universal fair Spring in Gomel will take place in the oblast capital. Its theme has no restrictions and allows presenting the entire range of manufacturing and technical products as well as consumer goods. It is one of the most representative forums held in oblast capitals of Belarus. For instance, in 2010 over 220 companies from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Lithuania, Czechia, Slovakia took part in the fair to promote the latest products, seek new business partners and establish mutually beneficial trade and economic contacts. This year during the Spring in Gomel expo negotiations on business cooperation with business circles of Russia, Ukraine, and Moldova will take place as well as presentations of companies, the latest products and services, business seminars. Participants of the expo will be able to take part in a contest for the best booth, the best presentation of a product, for the most original product or service, for the audience choice award. All participants will be granted free Wi-Fi Internet access. The second international expo Gomelpromexpo that will take place on 20-21 May will be as important for the economy of the oblast. The expo will include 13 sections featuring among other things construction machines, industrial equipment, finishing materials. The expo is supposed to demonstrate the latest products, technologies and materials used in industry, civil engineering and energy saving. It will present modern equipment used to generate and distribute electrical and heating energy, energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies and equipment, automation means and systems. The expos are organized by the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee and the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
