Minsk donates books to Belarusian diaspora of Moldova

CHISINAU, 17 January (BelTA) – The Minsk City Hall has donated a collection of Belarusian books to the Belarusian diaspora of Moldova, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus in Moldova. The books will be kept in the Center of Information and Belarusian Culture which is due to be opened in Chisinau to mark Belarus’ Independence Day. The center will host all events organized by the Belarusian community of Moldova including a Sunday school with classes of the Belarusian language, literature and history. The center will feature the Belarusian emblems, national costumes, folklore elements, books, souvenirs and other exhibits related to the Belarusian culture, written language, history, traditions and customs. The center will be equipped with the support of the Belarusian embassy, the Minsk City Hall, the administration of the Partizansky district of the Belarusian capital as well as business circles.
