National Ballet of Georgia to take part in Sozhski Karagod festival in Gomel

GOMEL, 30 August (BelTA) – The National Ballet of Georgia “Sukhishvili-Ramishvili” will take part in the opening ceremony of the Sixth International Festival of Choreography “Sozhski Karagod” to be held in Gomel on 15-18 September, BelTA learnt from the organizing committee of the festival. The company is currently in Gomel on a tour. The Georgian National Ballet will perform in the Gomel cultural center. According to the organizing committee, taking part in the opening ceremony will be also the State Dance Company of Belarus, the art group “Belarusians”, winner of the Grand Prix at the 20th International Song Contest “Vitebsk-2011” Alyona Lanskaya. The Sixth International Festival of Choreography “Sozhski Karagod” will gather near 1,000 official guests and participants. More than 20 ballet companies from seven countries (almost 400 artists) are expected to participate in the festival. Among the guests will be delegations from Gomel twin-towns.
