Over 300 companies from 14 states to attend Belagro 2020 expo in Minsk


MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – More than 300 companies from 14 countries will take part in the 30th edition of the international expo Belagro 2020 that is due to take place in Minsk on 29 September – 4 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
“Taking part in the expo will be more than 300 companies from 14 countries, including Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, China, the Netherlands, Poland, France, Switzerland and Sweden. Companies from Hungary, Russian regions, including Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, Bryansk Oblast, Rostov Oblast, Volgograd Oblast, Saratov Oblast and Voronezh Oblast will showcase their products in separate exposition blocks,” the press service said.
Collective expositions will be presented by the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Industry Ministry, the National Academy of Sciences, the Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom and Belkoopsoyuz. The expo is expected to welcome official delegations and business missions from a number of countries.
On the sidelines of the expo the organizers will hold contests for the best pedigree cow and the best ploughman, an exhibition of farm animals, machinery and other events. The contests for the best sheep shearer and the best pedigree horse will be held for the first time.
A number of exhibitions, including Belferma, Belprodukt, Food Industry, and Prodmash. Kholod. Upak will be held during the Belarusian Agricultural Week on 29 September – 4 October.
