Poland’s decision to simplify trips for frontier population meets interests of two countries

Poland’s decision to simplify trips for people from the frontier regions meets the interests of the two countries, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Andrei Popov told a news briefing on April 3. He noted the importance of this issue and reminded that it was Belarus who introduced a set of initiatives to develop the Belarusian-Polish dialogue in spring last year. One of the initiatives was to simplify the mutual trips of citizens, Andrei Popov said. “As for the document, which, as mass media reported, was signed by the Polish Prime Minister, so far we have not been notified by our Polish colleagues about it. As soon as we get it we will consider it thoroughly, Andrei Popov said. “We have been dealing with this issue for more than a year, in partnership with the Polish colleagues as well. As soon as we develop a mutually acceptable formula we will inform you about this and I think we will make progress in this issue. From our point of view the actions undertaken by Poland meet the mutual interests of the two countries,” Andrei Popov said.
