Prime ministers of Belarus and Ukraine to meet in near future

A meeting of prime ministers of Belarus and Ukraine Sergei Sidorsky and Julia Timoshenko will be held in Minsk in the near future, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ukraine Valentin Velichko told BelTA during his meeting with heads of companies of the Gomel oblast. The sides have already identified the issues which will be discussed by the premiers of the two countries. Practically six agreements have been already done and initialed. They were supported as in Belarus so in Ukraine. The sides will discuss the movement of the Ukrainian citizens and also the transportation of cargoes via the Belarusian territory in line with the simplified order. It concerns the part of the Ukrainian railroad (17km) which connects the town of Slavutich and the Chernobyl nuclear power plant which runs through the Belarusian territory in the Bragin region. The sides will also discuss the energy memorandum on construction of the electric power line “Rovno nuclear power plant – electric power substation Mikashevichi”. It will allow the countries to supply the Ukrainian electric energy not only to Belarus but to the Baltic states and Poland.
