Pripyatsky to host wood carving plein-air 15-24 August

GOMEL, 14 August (BelTA) – A wood carving plein-air will take place at the Pripyatsky national park on 15-24 August, BelTA learnt from the Gomel cultural department. The event will come before the 2nd National Festival of Ethnocultural Traditions, Call of Polesie, which is due in the agro-town of Lyaskovichi, Petrikov District, on 24-25 August. Partaking in the plein-air will be woodcarvers from Gomel and Brest Oblasts. The theme of the forum is a diversity of Polesie flora and fauna. All the works created at the plein-air will be kept at the Pripyatsky national park. The Call of Polesie will gather artists, masters and craftsmen from eight districts of Gomel Oblast and three districts of Brest Oblast, professional artists of Belarus, creative companies of Russia and Ukraine.
