Serbia eager to cooperate with Belarus in agriculture

GOMEL, 23 September (BelTA) – Serbia is interested in the agricultural cooperation with Belarus, BelTA learned from Deputy Chairman of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee Boleslav Pirshtuk. He takes part in the Rogachev-Commonwealth 2011 regional exhibition. On 23 September Ambassador of Serbia to Belarus Stojan Jevtic met with representatives of Rogachev milk canning plant. Particularly, Serbia is interested in organizing export of the company’s products to Balkan countries. Serbia paid special attention to the projects in viticulture and gardening. The cooperation in this avenue was discussed at the NASB Gomel Oblast agricultural research center in the village of Dovsk, Rogachev District. The interest of Serbia is not accidental. Stojan Jevtic is the former Agriculture and Water Management Minister of Serbia. The Rogachev-Commonwealth 2011 regional exhibition is held in Rogachev on 22-24 September. Partaking in the forum are 40 Belarusian companies. The Rogachev regional economic forum is held as part of the exhibition. It brought together businessmen from Russia, Czech Republic and Serbia.
