Slavonic international youth camp to take place 27-30 June
GOMEL, 13 June (BelTA) – The Friendship 2012 international youth tent camp at the Friendship Memorial at the border of Gomel, Bryansk and Chernigov Oblasts will be held on 27-30 June, BelTA learnt from Second Secretary of the Gomel Oblast Committee of the BRSM Youth Union Alesya Vinnik. This year the forum will be hosted by Gomel Oblast. Young people from different regions of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine will meet to partake in various cultural and entertainment programs. The program of the forum includes a circus festival, a town of young craftsmen (body-art, modeling, hand-made), South-East hip-hop festival, Slavonic beauty pageant, and a family agricultural contest. A traditional festival of Slavic nations, Slavonic Unity, will take place at the Friendship Memorial on 30 June. The organizers of the event are the Gomel youth affairs department and the BRSM regional committee. The international youth tent camp is held every year at the border of the three Slavonic countries ahead of Youth Day which is marked at the last weekend of June. The event is aimed at the development of friendly relations between young people, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, leadership practices and organizing skills among the youth, popularization of national cultures.БЕЛТА
