Vladimir Andreichenko elected as Speaker of House of Representatives

Vladimir Andreichenko was elected Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus of the fourth convocation at the first plenary session on October 27. 107 deputies voted in favour, one against, BelTA informs. Vladimir Andreichenko was born in 1949 in the village of Maryanovo, Liozno region, Vitebsk oblast. He graduated from the Luzhesno agriculture college in 1968; Velikie Luki Agriculture Institute (Russia) 1977; Minsk Higher Communist Party School. An honoured worker of the agricultural industry of Belarus. After the service in the Armed Forces he started his career in the Komsomol and Communist Party organisations in the Liozno region. In 1981-1991 he served as head of the agriculture department, chairman of the Liozno regional executive committee, first secretary of the Verkhnedvinsk regional committee of the Communist Party of Belarus. In 1991-1994 served as first deputy chairman, chairman of the agriculture and food committee of the Vitebsk oblast executive committee. In November 1994 he was appointed chairman of the Vitebsk oblast executive committee. Vladimir Andreichenko was a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of three convocations.
