30 countries participate in Spring in Gomel fair

GOMEL, 16 May (BelTA) – About 250 participants from almost 30 countries have come to Gomel to take part in the 13th international exhibition-fair Spring in Gomel that has opened in the Dinamo exhibition manege on 16 May, BelTA has learnt. This forum is the biggest regional exhibition in Belarus. Taking part in it are big companies and organizations, and small businesses from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Moldova, Lithuania, Italy and other countries. The exhibition will stay open until 19 May. Seventeen delegations from the CIS and non-CIS countries, including chiefs of chambers of commerce and industry of the CIS, are expected to attend the forum. Chief for exhibitions and fairs at the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alexei Chekhovsky said that the number of participants is growing year to year. The bulk of them are big and serious companies, including Gomelsteklo, Bekker System, Gomeldrev, Gomelstroimaterialy, Vitebsk Poultry Plant, Orsha Linen Mill. This year the exhibition area has been increased by 200 square meters to make 1,500 square meters. The exhibition is structured into several sectors: food industry, consumer goods, construction, SME, CIS regions. Negotiations with businessmen from Russia, Moldova and Ukraine will be held during the forum. The major goal of the Spring in Gomel exhibition is to boost cooperation between economic operators in the Single Economic Space, to showcase and promote new products and solutions, to find new partners and establish mutually beneficial trade and economic contacts. The Gomelpromexpo exhibition and the 16th exhibition of tourist services Expotur 2012 have opened in the Dinamo manege on 16 May. Taking part in the Expotur 2012 forum are travel agencies of Gomel and Chernihiv oblasts, as well as museums, rural tourism facilities, hunting houses and hotels.
