About 30 choirs to take part in regional festival “Pevcheskoe Pole 2006” in Gomel
About 39 choirs will partake in the regional festival “Pevcheskoe Pole 2006” which will be held in Gomel on May 26, BelTA was informed by head of the cultural department of the administration of Zheleznodorozhny district of Gomel Zinaida Davydenok.
According to her, the festival will be held for the third time to bring together choirs not only from Gomel oblast but also from other Belarusian regions. This year about 1,500 people are expected to turn out.
This year’s festival is dedicated to the Year of Mother. The theme determined the selection of musical compositions to be performed. The contest will be held in four nominations: academic, veteran, folk and children’s collectives. The program also includes a master class of the State Academic People’s Choir n. a. Tsitovich.
