Alexander Yakobson: energy price increase will not affect housing construction programs
The energy price increase will not affect the housing construction programs in Gomel oblast, Alexander Yakobson, chairman of the Gomel oblast executive committee, told BelTA when visiting the first specialized construction exhibition “Building a House” which has opened today in Gomel.
“Gomel oblast will meet the targets on the construction of housing both for the five years and on a yearly basis. No factors including the increase in the energy prices will bode negatively for the pace of the construction”, the chairman stressed.
Alexander Yakobson underlined, the construction industry has developed energy-saving know-hows which should be applied. Thus, the first specialized exhibition “Building a House” showcases up-to-date energy-saving technologies which will cover some part of the expenses related to the increase in the production costs of some construction materials such as cement and lime which manufacture is power consuming. In opinion of the governor, the exhibition will give an impetus to the energy-saving efforts in the construction of production facilities and residential construction.
