Austrian side interested in cooperation with Gomel oblast in energy sphere
The Austrian side is interested in cooperation with the Gomel oblast of Belarus in energy sphere. On September 13, a group of deputies of the landtag of the Austrian land of Voralberg arrived in Gomel. The delegation includes representatives of business and public organizations.
The Austrian parliamentarians got familiar with the work of the mini-thermoelectric power station which uses secondary recourses at the Gomel-based Chemical Plant. The Austrian side is interested in the experience of the Gomel company in introducing the energy-saving technologies, Johannes Koler, the head of the Austrian delegation, told BelTA.
In turn, the Austrian side is ready to propose various know-how to use natural resources as energy, to support implementation of a number of projects related to construction of hydroelectric power stations, Johannes Koler noted.
A reminder, the Gomel region under the auspices of the landtag of the land Voralberg is implementing a project on setting up a biogas plant – the first one in the region. A unit to use solar energy was introduced in Joint Venture OOO “Goles” as well. The Austrian side proposed the leadership of the Gomel oblast to consider an opportunity to introduce similar units in other companies of the region.
