Belarus and Xinjian Uighur Autonomous Region of China intend to promote their cooperation
Promotion of the cooperation between the Xinjian Uighur Autonomous Region of China and Belarus is considered to be rather promising, deputy director of the department of foreign trade and economic cooperation of the Xinjian Uighur Autonomous Region of China head of the Chinese delegation Mr. Habai Matai stated today in the course of his talks with the leadership of the Gomel oblast executive committee.
“Belarus is a good and reliable partner. That is why we should find possible cooperation ways and the first step is investigation of the economic potential of the republic”, Mr. Habai Matai said.
During the talks the Chinese delegation discussed issues on possible transit of goods by rail via Belarus. The head of the Chinese delegation displayed interest in purchasing Belarusian flax products and MTZ and Gomselmash farm machines.
Moreover, the leadership of Gomel oblast and leading companies of the region accepted an invitation to partake in the international economic exhibition, which is annually held in September in China.
The Chinese delegation also plans to visit Gomselmash, the free economic zone “Gomel-Raton” and the 7th international universal exhibition-fair “Gomel Spring-2006”.
