Belarus wins medals at IOI in Thailand

GOMEL, 29 July (BelTA) – Students from Gomel Oblast won gold and silver medals at the 23rd International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) in the city of Pattaya, Thailand, BelTA learned from the Education Department of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee. Gennady Korotkevich from Gomel gymnasium No. 56 has become absolute winner of the competition. Silver medals went to Sergei Kulik, Adam Bardashevich from Mozyr and Vladislav Podtelkin from Gomel. The 23rd International Olympiad in Informatics is held in the city of Pattaya on 22-29 July. Partaking in the competition are 308 students from 78 countries. Belarus is represented by a team from Gomel Oblast. An award ceremony took place on 28 July.
