Belarusian collectives to attend folk festival Polesskiy Krug in Chernigov
Gomel folk band Kupets and dance company Skarynachka will take part in the first folk festival “Polesskiy Krug” on May 20-21 in Chernigov, Ukraine; BelTA was informed in the Belarusian embassy to Ukraine.
Councilor of the Belarusian embassy to Ukraine Victor Denisenko and chair of the All-Ukraine Union of Belarusians Irina Orzhekhovskaya are expected to visit the festival.
Apart from Belarusian folk bands the festival will gather together collectives from Ukraine, Russia and Poland.
The festival’s organizer - department for culture and tourism of the Chernigov oblast administration will organize sightseeing tours and cruises on the Desna River for the festival participants.
