Belarusian Seismotekhnika, Nigerian company ink distribution agreement

GOMEL, 3 December (BelTA) – The Gomel-based mechanical engineering company OAO Seismotekhnika and the Nigerian company New Fields Oil and Gas Services Limited have signed a distribution agreement. The information was released by the press service of the state manufacturing corporation Belorusneft that Seismotekhnika belongs to, BelTA has learned. The agreement will enable the Nigerian company to assist with sales and resell Seismotekhnika products in Nigeria. The product range includes seismic sources, relevant electronics, apparatus for drilling and repairing wells, including stationary drilling rigs with the capacity of 1,500hp made by Seismotekhnika in association with the Italian company Drillmec S.p.A. Offering drill rigs made under the license from Drillmec is one of the promising avenues of Seismotekhnika’s export. Three rigs have been made this year already. They are operated by Belorusneft Company at deposits in the Belarusian Polesie area. Seismotekhnika plans to make a fourth drill rig Drillmec 1500 in December. At present Seismotekhnika-made drill rigs and seismic sources are used to prospect oil deposits in Belarus, Russia, Turkmenistan, Venezuela, and other countries. The Gomel-based public joint-stock company Seismotekhnika is part of the manufacturing corporation Belorusneft. For 35 years Seismotekhnika has been manufacturing geophysical and oil industry equipment for fuel and energy enterprises, oil companies, and geophysical companies. Seismotekhnika sells machinery and equipment for drilling and overhauling wells, for seismic surveying and downhole logging.
