BelTA’s photo expo to go on display at Rumyantsev-Paskevich Residence

GOMEL, 19 September (BelTA) – A solo exhibition, From Gomel to Liverpool… 101 Years by BelTA’s press photographer Sergei Kholodilin will open in the Rumyantsev-Paskevich Residence on 19 September, BelTA has learnt. The exposition is dedicated to one of the brightest sports events this year, the Europa League third qualifying round matches between FC Gomel and FC Liverpool. Sergei Kholodilin who accompanied FC Gomel to England presents his photo review of the match. The main characters are players, coaches, fans of both the teams and, of course, the game itself, dynamic and spectacular. Sergei Kholodilin has also added Liverpool sights as well as places directly connected with the football development in the city. Football is an important topic for Gomel as the first Belarusian football team was set up here more than a century ago. The city saw the first official match in 1911. In 2009 the Rumyantsev-Paskevich Residence played host to Sergei Kholodilin’s exhibition, Looking… Forward. His works were on display in Germany, Poland, France, Norway, other countries. The Belarusian photographer is a holder of the President’s Award For Spiritual Revival in the Fine Art nomination and the winner of the Best Photographer Award at the 3rd national printed mass media contest Golden Letter.
