BNYU activists from Gomel to participate in youth leadership camp in Kursk
Activists of the Gomel city committee of the Belarusian National Youth Union will become participants of the international youth leadership camp We Stand Together in the sport and recreation facility Olimpiyets (Kursk, Russia) on August 7-27.
BelTA learnt from head of the Gomel delegation Alena Demidova, the schedule includes various educational and entertaining events as well as cultural and sport ones. Many of them will be aimed at cultivating leadership qualities of the youth. The guys are expected to meet with politicians, church leaders, veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The schedule also includes recreation soirees, humour relay races, intellectual games. Besides, an international conference Slavonic Co-operation in the 21st Century as well as an international musical festival Let the Song Flow will be held exactly during the days the youth camp is held.
According to the source, the Gomel youth organisation has been participating in the project since 2004. This year the event will be part of the efforts to further promote the friendly relations between Kursk and Gomel.
All in all, around 400 people — youngsters from Gomel, Kursk region, Feodosiya, and Chernigov — will take part in the international youth leadership camp.
