Delegation of French city Clermont-Ferrand to visit Gomel oblast
A delegation of the French city Clermont-Ferrand will visit the Gomel oblast on October 30 – November 1. The visit will take place as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the twinship of Gomel and Clermont-Ferrand, BelTA learnt from representatives of the Ideology Department of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee.
The delegation intends to visit social institutions of Gomel, the Zhlobin linguistic gymnasium, and the Vetka Folk Arts Museum.
BelTA has been told, over the 30 years the French and Belarusian cities had established strong friendly relations. The relations were promoted mainly in the cultural and educational sphere. The creation of the French-Belarusian institute on the basis of Frantsisk Skorina Institute of Gomel was one of the most important projects.
