Diamond Tools Plant of PA Kristal intensifies supplies for Belarusian companies
For the five months of the current years Diamond Tools Plant (a branch of the Gomel Production Association Kristal) intensified supplies of diamond tools for metal working by 35 per cent, for stone working – two times and for glass working – three times, a BelTA correspondent was informed by deputy head of the sales department of the company Igor Panfilov.
According to him, this year the plant has won several tenders for the supply of diamond tools for Production Association MTZ, republican unitary Production Association BelAZ, PA Belarusian Metallurgical Works, PA Minsk Motor Plant, the glass works Neman, PA Gomselmash. The biggest order for the tools to cut asphalt, concrete and granite (Br42 million) was placed by the Minsk department for road-bridge construction.
In line with the coordination plan to provide companies of Belarus with home-made diamond tools and the import-substituting program by 2010 the branch of the Gomel Production Association Kristal should completely satisfy the needs of the Belarusian companies, Igor Panfilov noted.
The plant was founded in 1996 and is the biggest producer of diamond tools in the republic. It sells products to the national building, stone working, metal working and wood working companies and the ones involved in faceting diamonds and jewelries. The plant employs 214 people.
