Festival to gather 300 schoolchildren of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine in Gomel region
Around 300 schoolchildren of Gomel region, Bryansk, Chernigov, Kursk and South-Eastern district of Moscow will take part in the 10th international children festival “Druzya, Syabry, Druzi – Razam” (friends in Russian, Belarusian, and Ukrainian) in Gomel region on May 30 – June 1. Head of the pedagogical department of Gomel region education board Lyubov Voinova told BelTA, the number of the participants grows every year.
The solemn opening of the international children festival will take place at the boarding house “Zolotyye Peski” of Gomel district. The first two days of the festival include several physical culture events, intellectual and entertaining events. The schoolchildren will be able to partake in an intellectual tournament and compete in mini-football and darts. The foreign guests will be able to go on excursions to historical places of interest in the city upon the Sozh. The festival will also feature a ship modelling show and an amateur talent concert.
Lyubov Voinova noted, the third day of the festival will be held near the Friendship Monument. At the border of Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine the schoolchildren will partake in a meeting dedicated to the International Children Protection Day. A concert of children amateur talents will be held.
This year the festival is arranged by Gomel region.
