First batch of Gomselmash grain harvesters assembled in Tatarstan

GOMEL, April 15 (BelTA) – Mechanical engineering company Tatelectromash (Naberezhnyye Chelny) has assembled the first five grain harvesters Palesse GS812 using Gomselmash assembly sets. They were assembled using manufacturing plans provided by Gomselmash, Vasily Kozlov, Deputy Director of Gomselmash’s Russia Sales Department, told BelTA. In his words, at the beginning of the next week a team of Gomselmash specialists will be dispatched to Tatarstan to examine the correctness of the assembly and to carry out bench trials of the vehicles. Simultaneously the partners will be instructed about presale rules, vehicle tuning and maintenance. In addition, negotiations with Tatelectromash executives are supposed to determine the volume of the next batch of harvester assembly sets. BelTA reported earlier, this year the joint venture in Naberezhnyye Chelny is supposed to assemble 50 vehicles. The schedule is designed to make sure all the harvesters will be ready before the harvesting campaign begins. Tatelectromash-made components might be used to assemble harvesters. In the future the company will supply certain components for Gomselmash machines. The decision to set up the joint venture was made when a delegation of the Tatarstan government (the Russian Federation) led by Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov visited Gomel in January 2009. In the near future the partners plan to increase the output up to 250 machines per annum, partially by producing other types of machinery such as forage harvesters. Assembling 2,000 harvesters per annum fully satisfying the demand of Ural and eastern regions of Russia for harvesters is the end goal.
