First Gomselmash harvesters assembled at Belarus-China joint venture

GOMEL, 27 July (BelTA) – The first batch of Gomselmash fodder harvesters has been assembled at Belarus-China joint venture in China’s Heilongjiang Province (administrative center Harbin), BelTA learnt from Igor Korotkevich, the head of the department for sales to the non-CIS states of Gomselmash. A reminder, the joint venture was set up by Belarus’ Gomselmash and China’s Dong Jin Group. It operates in the same way as joint assembly productions in Russia and Kazakhstan. The harvesters assembled in China will be eligible for subsidies of the central and local governments of China. At first, the joint venture will assemble self-propelled forage harvesters KSK-600 Palesse FS60. In line with a business plan, 100 machines are to be assembled in 2010. Igor Korotkevich informed that Gomselmash has shipped the agreed amount of machine sets to China. The machines are to be assembled by the start of corn harvesting in China. A group of Belarusian specialists is in China now to monitor the assembling and setting-up of harvesters and train the personnel. Igor Korotkevich said it is possible that the joint venture will assemble other Gomselmash machines in the future. Palesse FS60 is designed to harvest tall-stalked cultures (corn, sunflower), haymaking and other works. The manufacturing corporation Gomselmash is a multi-business producer of machines designed to cultivate and harvest crops using contemporary agrarian technologies. The Gomselmash line-up includes machines for harvesting grain, forage crops, sugar beet, potato, as well as mowers and machines for complex soil cultivation.
