Gomel-based Kommunalnik to commission water, heating meters calibration station

The national unitary company Gomel Plant Kommunalnik is planning to commission the first Belarusian station for calibrating water and heating supply meters. The station uses water weighing technologies, the company’s director Vasiliy Nekroshevich told BelTA. In his words, the station disallows any errors during calibration. Computerised and automated with state-of-the-art German and Russian equipment, the station will service Kommunalnik meters and around 60 meters daily sent by the city’s and the district’s communal services. The director noted, the water-weighing-based calibration and equipment for upgrading Kommunalnik’s old calibration station were designed as part of a proprietary project. Now the company offers modernisation of obsolete stations, production of new ones, their sale and commissioning. Gomel Plant Kommunalnik was set up in 1946. Only three years ago the company operated in the red. Today the company offers a wide choice of boiler house equipment and municipal equipment for industrial companies, agro-towns and residence buildings, water treatment and heating equipment, fire hydrants, and custom-made equipment. Over the nine months of the year Kommunalnik increased its output by 29 per cent up on the corresponding period of last year or by Br3.7 billion in comparable prices. Last year Kommunalnik was one of the country’s six heating equipment producers, which are granted the right to partake in tenders and sell their products to state-run companies. The company’s production facilities are compliant with quality management system ISO 9001. In 2007 the company plans to get certified for compliance with European standards.
