Gomel city central children library comes up with free juridical services
Along with traditional services the central children library of Gomel now offers free juridical services. Library director Alla Morozova told BelTA, students and professors of the law faculty of Skorina's Gomel state university started offering free consultations to readers.
According to the source, initially they had 57,000 electronic documents on law. Then they opened a legal information centre with assistance of the university professors. As a result, anyone can get theoretical knowledge and practical aid from the future professionals.
At the initial stage the consultations will be held once a month, informed head professor of the civil law chair of the university's law department Lyudmila Vasilyeva. Over 20 students will offer their services.
The main task the future lawyers face is propaganda of legal knowledge among schoolchildren. Besides, the future lawyers get a chance to practice their theoretical knowledge. If the experiment proves successful, this practice will be introduced at Gomel secondary schools.
