Gomel Distillery wins medals at international exhibition in Moscow
The products made by Gomel Distillery won gold and bronze medals at the 14th international exhibition “Prodexpo-2007”, held in Moscow on February 12-16, BelTA was told at the company.
A tasting contest “Prodexpo-2007” was held within the framework of the exhibition as well. Balsam “Polesye” won gold and vodka “Sotka” – bronze. According to the organizers, the contest aims to reveal most competitive foods made in Russia and abroad (supplied to the Russian market) and to promote high-quality goods to the Russian market.
The international exhibition of foods, beverages and food raw materials “Prodexpo-2007” is one of the biggest food exhibitions in Russia. This year more than 2100 companies from 63 countries took part in the forum.
The republican unitary company Gomel Distillery produces vodka, balsam, liqueurs, sweet and bitter nastoyka, cocktails, brandy, gin, aperitifs – more than 60 descriptions. The company can make about one million decalitres of beverages a year. Last year Gomel Distillery produced 989,5 thousand decalitres of beverages. The company is proud of about 400 specialists.
