Gomel ice cream factory commissions multilayer ice cream production line
Gomel ice cream factory has finished installing a modern production line for manufacturing multilayer ice cream, company representatives told BelTA.
The equipment is of Dutch origin and can produce up to 18 kinds of multilayer multicoloured ice cream with portions varying from 40 grams to 100 grams. The line can turn out 3,000-9,000 portions an hour and costs EUR700,000.
So far the company has mastered the production of 11 kinds of new products. The first batch was shipped to study customer’s response.
In the future the company plans to largely expand the product choice. The source explained, the new manufacturing line can be upgraded with new parts to expand the product choice even more in order to meet the market demand and food industry trends.
In 1986 an ice cream workshop was set up on the basis of Gomel city dairy plant. In 1990 the workshop was converted into Gomel ice cream factory. At the present the factory is part of open joint-stock company Rumyantsevskoye. The product range includes over 50 titles. The company satisfies some 30 per cent of Gomel region demand for ice cream.
