Gomel oblast and Lubuskie voivodeship of Poland develop cooperation

A delegation of the Gomel oblast of Belarus is staying on a visit to the Lubuskie voivodeship of Poland (Zielona Gora is the administrative centre of the region). In September last year, Marshall of the Lubuskie voivodeship Kshishtov Shimansky paid a visit to the Gomel oblast. The Gomel delegation includes officials of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee and the Gomel Town Council, heads of companies Gomelavia, Gomelkhlebprom and Gomeltourist. Belarusian Ambassador to Poland Pavel Latushko and Belarusian Consul General in Gdansk Ruslan Yesin are members of the delegation as well. “It is a regular step to deepen the mutually-beneficial trade-economic cooperation between the two countries,” Ruslan Yesin told BelTA. The programme of the visit includes talks with the leadership of the town of Zielona Gora, business-meetings with representatives of Polish business circles. The delegation will attend the regional economic forum and the conference on boundary cooperation in the town of Zagan. Representatives of the Belarusian delegation are expected to visit a number of companies which are interested in establishing trade and cooperation ties with Belarus’ economic entities. The visit of the Gomel delegation to Poland will be running through December 7.
