Gomel oblast creates TV series about remarkable women-teachers
Gomel oblast is creating a cycle of TV films about remarkable women-teachers of the oblast. The project was initiated by the oblast committee of the trade union of education and science workers. On its order the oblast TV and radio company “Gomel” will make 10 video films, chief of the oblast committee of the branch-wise trade union Vadim Sabko told BelTA.
The main characters of the films will be the women who excelled in the profession and realized themselves in private live having become wonderful wives and mothers, educators of their own children. Among them is a distinguished teacher of the country, the finalist of the nationwide contest “Teacher of the year”, the chief of the chair of a university, the teachers who have been awarded the Order of Mother and other respected women-teachers.
According to Vadim Sabko, the project is dedicated to the Year of Mother which is held in Belarus. The project aims to enhance the prestige of this difficult and responsible job of a teacher.
The film will be broadcast by local TV network as part of the program “Mirror of the Soul”. The debut film is on tonight.
