Gomel Oblast Drama Theater is success in Russian Orel

The Gomel Oblast Drama Theater was a great success in the Russian town of Orel, BelTA was informed by theater’s director Valentina Rogovskaya. The tour of the Gomel Company was timed to the 10th anniversary of the Belarus-Russia Union. The first item on the program of the tour was the play “Strange Mrs. Savage” written by John Patrick. Then there were the comedies “Love in Baroque taste” by Yaroslav Stelmakh and “Truth is good but happiness is better” by Alexander Ostrovskiy. The Russian theater lovers were also treated to the detective story “Eight loving women” by Robert Toma. Children were given an opportunity to enjoy the fairytale “Little Baba Yaga” by Alexei Bychkov. According to Valentina Rogovskaya, this was the first time the Gomel Drama Theater has toured in Orel. Over the nine days of the tour the company gave thirteen performances. Tickets for all performances were sold out. According to the theater’s director the cooperation will be continued.
