Gomel Oblast Rescuer of the Year Title awarded to school students
For the first time in history of the Rescuer of the Year Contest, which will be held in the Gomel oblast for the third time, the honorary title will be awarded to school students. Aleksei Kondratenko, a student of the Khalch secondary school from the Vetka region, and Maksim Tolkachev, a student from Dobrush secondary school No. 3, have been recognized winners in the nomination “For high professionalism in rescuing children and relief efforts”.
As BelTA was told in the propaganda and education centre of the Gomel oblast department for emergency situations, on April 4 the statuettes “Rescuer of the Year” and diplomas will be presented to Aleksei Kondratenko, who saved three kids from fire, and to Maksim Tolkachev who saved two drowning kids. The ceremony will be held in the Gomel palace of children’s art.
