Gomel oblast to present best harvesters with money prizes
Winners of the harvest competition in Gomel oblast will get money prizes.
The oblast competition featuring the best regions, agricultural companies, best crews of harvesters and best drivers transporting grain to processing facilities is held annually during harvest. As Valentina Bezhkova, official from the oblast executive committee, told BelTA, over Br40 million worth of prize money has been earmarked this year for the event.
The best region will get Br4,5 million, the best agricultural company – Br3 million, the best senior harvester – Br450 thousand, his assistant – Br400 thousand and the best driver – Br300 thousand.
According to the specialist, harvesting teams made up of young people and young drivers under 31 years old compete in a separate group and will be given prizes as well.
