The “Health, Strength, Beauty” fair was opened today in Gomel within the frames of the information campaign “Gomel oblast for healthy lifestyle”.
More than 40 Belarusian companies involved in catering, sports and tourism spheres as well as pharmaceutical branch will present their products at the fair. Among the exhibits are medical preparations, vitamins, toiletry, perfumery and cosmetics, sports gear.
During the exhibition food manufactures will make presentations where people will have an opportunity to taste some products. Apart from that the exhibition pavilion will host performances by Gomel sportsmen.
The main goal of the fair is to unite efforts of companies and organizations in promotion of healthy lifestyle, head physician of the Gomel oblast center of hygiene, epidemiology and public health Victor Naralenkov told BelTA.
He noted that “virtually every second resident of the oblast changes his/her attitude towards their health”. More people follow recommendations of their doctors (44 per cent), pay greater importance to their diet (39 per cent) and make physical exercise (18 per cent). Almost 22 per cent of Gomel oblast population intends to give up smoking, Victor Naralenkov stated.
