Gomel to hold military-patriotic campaign ahead of Belarus’ Liberation Day on July 3
GOMEL, April 19 (BelTA) – The Gomel oblast fund of social security of military men and their families put forward an initiative to hold a military-patriotic campaign “Meeting of Generations”, BelTA learnt from the deputy chairman of the fund, Stanislav Pashevich. Veterans will be invited to visit colleges and universities of Gomel.
The goal of the campaign is to organize meetings between participants of the Great Patriotic War with students, Stanislav Pashevich said. Among the veterans are frontline soldiers who liberated Belarus, participants of the partisan and underground movements.
According to Stanislav Pashevich, such communication gives young people an opportunity to learn more about the past, about the generation who won Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
